Apollos Boxing in Bolton Start Strong with Big Wins on the Road
The new season is underway, and the Apollos Amateur Boxing Team has wasted no time making an impact. Competing away from home, the squad returned with two excellent wins and just one narrow, debatable split-decision loss – a result that had many in the crowd convinced the verdict should have gone our way.
We had two of our amateur team compete over in Stoke on Friday night then in Blackburn on Saturday Daytime we had another amateur boxer compete again!
The victories were a testament to the team’s commitment, fitness, and preparation, as each boxer showed composure under pressure and a determination to bring the fight to their opponents. Even in the split loss, our boxer displayed great heart, proving that the Apollos will be a force to reckon with throughout the season.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. We’re proud to announce that Owen Wilson and Alfie Winnard have both earned their places in the quarter finals of the North West Championships this week. This is a huge achievement, and both lads have been training tirelessly in the gym to make sure they’re ready for the challenge ahead. The whole club, from coaches to teammates and supporters, will be cheering them on as they step into the ring.
The start of the season has shown the character and quality within this squad, and there’s plenty more to come. With the team gaining valuable experience, sharpening their skills, and backing each other every step of the way, the future looks bright for the Apollos Boxing in Bolton.
