Apollos Boxing in Bolton coaching boxing to teens at Little Lever School! It has been a long time goal of everyone at Apollos Boxing in Bolton to coach boxing in local schools.
At Apollos we believe there are many lessons we can teach teenagers and children using boxing not just to improve their boxing skill but also how they react to certain situations for example making mistakes while training and also coming over some adversity in training.
We have been lucky to of teamed up with Little Lever High school and some of the children down last week where we ran them through a boxing class and had a talk with them at the end of the class to recap any lessons they may of learnt.
Our head Boxing coach at the gym Paul Usher took the class with the kids and also shared his experience in boxing and how it helped him from getting involved with the wrong crowds and also the lessons boxing has taught him over the years.
Paul started boxing after a bad car crash in 2023 and this was among several other incident that that led to Paul realizing he was going down the wrong path.
Our plan at Apollos Boxing in Bolton is to get either more kids into boxing or to actually get boxing into schools to be taught as part of PE!
Having Little Lever High school being interested in working with us at Apollos Boxing in Bolton is a huge step forward to achieving our goals or helping more kids avoiding the wrong path!
