Three Apollos Boxing in Bolton’s Amateur Boxers in Action Last Night in Preston
Last night, three of Apollos Boxing Club’s talented amateur boxers stepped into the ring at an exciting event in Preston, showcasing their skill, determination, and passion for the sport. The atmosphere was electric, with supporters filling the venue to cheer on the fighters as they faced fierce competition from local talent.
The Matches:
Each of our boxers brought their A-game, putting on an incredible display of technique and heart. The event saw fierce, well-matched bouts, with every round packed with intensity. Our fighters held their own against tough opponents, representing Apollos Boxing with pride and sportsmanship.
- Liam Walsh gave a standout performance, demonstrating impressive footwork and punching accuracy. The fight was a real crowd-pleaser, with Liam pushing forward relentlessly, securing a well-deserved victory.
- Lucas Haughton fought with incredible resilience, showing excellent defensive skills and determination throughout. Although it was a close match, Lucas left it all in the ring, earning the respect of fans and opponents alike. We believed Lucas won the bout but lost by decision!
- Owen Wilson showcased their strength and speed, landing some powerful punches that had the crowd roaring. A true testament to their hard work in the gym, Owen again performed brilliantly, showing immense promise for the future. Again we felt like Owen did enough to take the win but unfortunately lost by decision.

The event was not just about the wins and losses – it was about growth, learning, and the pursuit of excellence. Each of our fighters gained valuable experience that will propel them forward in their boxing careers. We couldn’t be more proud of the progress and dedication they’ve shown.
At Apollos Boxing in Bolton we emphasise the importance of competition and improvement obviously we want to win every bout but if we don’t get the win we get straight back to the gym to work on our mistakes!
